Our Trustees



David has been the Director of the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) since 1997, a charity which supports the well-being of that special area. He is also a Trustee of Cumbria Wildlife Trust. His passions include wildlife, fell-walking and teaching his two Grandsons all about surrounding nature.

Rob Stoneman


Rob is currently Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, now the third Wildlife Trust Rob has led after working as Chief Executive at Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and also Sheffield. Aside from management work, Rob remains passionately interested in peatland conservation, marine wildlife conservation, as well as urban nature conservation and, in particular, how nature conservation can improve the quality of life for disadvantaged communities.

David McKinnon


David has been the Corporate Business Development Manager with the National Trust for Scotland since Jan 2008. He also worked for eleven years with The Prince's Trust - Scotland and is very passionate about improving the health and well being of our young people and the communities in which they live.

Andrew Fairbairn


Andrew worked for 18 years as Communications and Development Manager at the Woodland Trust Scotland, with particular interest in ancient trees, deer, creating and protecting native woodland, forestry policy and project management. Since January 2015 Andrew has been working on a self-employed basis as an Environmental Consultant.

Caroline Roxburgh


Caroline is a Chartered Accountant and until December 2016 she was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.   She has a portfolio of roles as a non-executive director in the charity, not-for-profit and commercial sectors and has a keen interest in the arts & culture, education and societal issues.
