Depaul UK’s vision is of a society in which everyone has a place to call home and a stake in their community. They do this by preventing homelessness, housing those experiencing homelessness and working with their clients to re-engage with their communities through education, training and employment support.
Depaul UK has over 30 years of experience providing services to some of the most marginalised and vulnerable young people in the UK and they have shared this experience globally through Depaul International. Depaul’s specialised services are there when someone reaches crisis point, but what makes them unique is their focus on delivering prevention programmes that look to tackle the root causes and resolve issues before anyone has to spend a night on the street.
Through the support of the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, the charity is able to; offer emergency accommodation through the Nightstop network of volunteer hosts, work with young people and families through mediation and counselling to resolve relationship issues, run supported accommodation in Depaul Houses staffed by teams specialising in caring for vulnerable young people with multiple complex needs, and offer an ambitious Steps to Success programme helping young people into education, training and employment.
Depaul UK works alongside local and national government to model and deliver best practice, they innovate and pilot new solutions and by robustly measuring their impact and are able to push for improvements from within the system.
